Quick start

Three steps to get your fleet on Fleetie.

Create your account

Sign up with email or Google. No credit card required for the 14-day trial. You'll get access to the Professional plan with all features unlocked.

Register your company

Enter your company name and details. This creates your tenant — all your drivers, vans, and rotas live under this company.

Add your team & vans

Add drivers individually or bulk import via CSV. Same for vans — registration is required, make, model, and location are optional.

Building your first rota

Create a weekly rota, assign drivers to routes, set activities per depot, and publish to your team.

  • Open Rota Management from the dashboard
  • Select a week and partner location
  • Assign activities to each driver for each day
  • Hit Publish — choose all drivers or select individuals
  • Drivers receive a push notification and can accept or decline

Managing your fleet

Add vehicles, track status changes, and keep on top of MOT and service dates.

  • Go to Vans from the sidebar
  • Add a van with registration, make, model, and location
  • Or use CSV Import to upload your whole fleet
  • Change status to Active, VOR, or Inactive with a note
  • Every change is logged in the audit trail

Setting up GPS tracking

Connect Datalive hardware or use the iOS phone tracker.

  • Go to Tracking > Settings
  • Enter your Datalive API credentials
  • Fleetie syncs your vehicles automatically
  • Open the Live Map to see real-time positions
  • Use Journey History to review past routes by date

Connecting DPD

Sync payments, charges, franchises, and route progress from your DPD portal.

  • Navigate to DPD > Settings
  • Enter your DPD portal credentials
  • Fleetie syncs franchises, payments, and charges
  • View Payments with auto-matching to your drivers
  • Check Route Progress for live delivery tracking

Onboarding drivers

Add drivers to your company and get them set up with their own portal.

  • Go to Team from the sidebar
  • Click Add User and enter their details
  • Or import drivers via CSV for bulk onboarding
  • Drivers receive an invite to claim their account
  • Once claimed, they can view schedules, request leave, and accept routes

Notifications setup

Enable push notifications so your team stays in the loop.

  • Drivers go to their Profile > Notifications
  • Allow browser notifications when prompted
  • Toggle notification types: routes published, updated, cancelled, driver responses
  • Notifications work on mobile and desktop browsers

API access

Available on Fleet+ plans. RESTful API with JWT authentication.

Authentication

JWT bearer tokens via /auth/login. Google OAuth also supported. Tokens sent in the Authorization header.

Core endpoints

Companies, users, vans, rotas, partners, depots, routes, and more. Full CRUD operations scoped to your tenant.

Tracking & integrations

Live positions, journey history, DPD sync, and webhook endpoints for Datalive and route progress.

Rate limits

Auth endpoints rate-limited (3-10 requests per minute). Data endpoints have generous limits for normal usage.
